ABOUT US
Sola...
For centuries, faithful reformed churches have devoted themselves to five particular foundations of the Christian faith. These are the treasure and the trajectory of our local church.

Sola Scriptura- The scriptures are the final authority for faith and practice in the body of Christ and the world. God's word is Truth unmixed with error.
Solus Christus- Christ is LORD and everything in the Scriptures testifies about Him. Christ, the Eternal Word of God, became a man, died for sinners, and rose again as the triumphant ruler of the universe. He is the point of the Bible.
Sola Fide- Sinners are justified by faith alone in Christ alone. Without faith it is impossible to please God...and whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. Works will follow justifying faith but it is faith alone in Christ alone that justifies a man.
Sola Gratia- It is by the grace of Christ alone that men can be saved. It is His righteousness, not ours, that reconciles us to God. Grace is the nature of His gift to us. Faith is the means by which the gift is received.
Soli Deo Gloria- All of this is for the glory of God alone. "Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your Name give glory!
Jesus is LORD...
Jesus said:
"all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me..."
-Matt 28:18
We believe that the world owes loyal and joyful obedience to Christ in every sphere of its existence. Consequently, we desire for Christ to be the Lord over all things in our lives, and in our church, and in our county, and in our world.
"Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end."
-Isaiah 9:7
Worship Means War...
"...when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named...He put all things under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fulness of Him who fills all in all."
-Eph 1:20-23

"But God...made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus..."
-Eph 2:5-6

When body of Christ gathers, we are ushered into the heavenly presence of God to renew our covenant with Him and, by so doing, we bring heavenly realities to bear upon the earth. Worship is not primarily about comfort or self help. It is about meeting with a Holy God who is also our Father, in the Name of His Son and in the power of the Holy Spirit. We gather to worship so that He can equip us to engaging in the cosmic struggle in the heavenly places. A struggle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. We gather together to be renewed in Christ so that the world can be renewed through the church.
